    modern room
    great shower
    friendly owner
    sleep disturbances
    awkward layout

Sakura Cross Hotel Shinjuku East Annex really impressed me. The room felt modern, and the little fridge and kettle were handy for late-night snacks. The shower had great pressure, making it refreshing after long days of exploring. I loved the quiet area, so relaxing yet only a short walk from the busy parts of Shinjuku. The nearby Taiyaki shop is a must-visit. the owner was friendly and chatty, adding a nice touch to our evenings. However, the layout made passing through the hallways a bit awkward, especially since our room was snug for a family of four. I noticed some bright blue lights from the switches right next to the bed that disrupted my sleep. Given the unstaffed nature of the hotel, it would be wise to have deliveries sent to a nearby collection point to avoid stress. Small adjustments could make this place fantastic, but our overall stay was enjoyable.

    tatami area
    constant noise
    cramped room

We appreciated the tatami area for comfort.

Our stay was stressed by constant noise from outside. The extra signs requesting quiet made me anxious, particularly with a toddler. The room felt cramped, making it difficult to maneuver our things.

    spacious room
    cleanliness
    great shower
    awkward hallway
    lack of staff presence

Our family had a great time exploring the area, with key attractions like Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and Godzilla Head just a short walk away. What stood out the most was the spacious Deluxe Family Room, which comfortably accommodated our family of four. The shower was fantastic and the cleanliness of the room made our stay even better. We also appreciated the convenience of nearby stores for snacks and essentials.

    spacious room
    great shower
    clean facilities

The Deluxe Family Room was perfect for my group of six. We had a clean, comfortable space that was close to a convenience store and train station. The shower was awesome, and the area felt safe. We loved that we could rely on this spot for both parts of our trip! 🏨

    yummy yakitori
    chill tatami area
    noise concern
    tight spaces

The local eats were a highlight! Yakitori Shin was a game changer—those grilled skewers were simply divine! Plus, the nifty tatami area provided a perfect chill spot after feasting. Clean vibes and easy access to the Higashi-Shinjuku station made our stay super smooth.

We got a little loud during our stay only to be warned that we might need to chill out or get the boot. But honestly, the cozy atmosphere and our fun times still shined bright!

No nonsense – just the truth

A great find for families! The Deluxe Family Room was cozy, accommodating five with room to spare. It was spotless, and the bedding was super comfy. spacious room
    clean bathroom
    great shower
    tight hallway
    bright lights

The Deluxe Family Room was spacious and well-designed, perfect for our family of four. It felt clean and cozy, and I loved the shower pressure. The clever storage really helped keep things tidy. Just a quick walk to the subway and local shops made it super convenient. The layout in the hallway was a bit tight, and the bright lights at night were a little annoying, but we enjoyed our stay.

    friendly staff
    clean room
    noise disturbance

great location but can be noisy

The room was very clean and designed efficiently, making good use of limited space. I loved being just a 5-minute walk from the Higashi Shinjuku station, which made transportation very easy. The staff were incredibly friendly and even offered us an umbrella when it rained, adding a personal touch to our stay. We enjoyed the local eateries nearby, with a cozy atmosphere that made our meal times memorable.

I did experience some noise disturbances at night, which could be a concern for light sleepers.
